5. Powerful network

We are part of a powerful network.
As part of Texas A&M's powerful network, choosing Mays makes you an Aggie. A&M's rich heritage of traditions unites graduates as it helps to build character, leadership and a commitment to public service in all its students. Characterized by a unique willingness to help each other no matter when they were at A&M, Aggies can be counted on to lend a hand to one another.
Our network also includes extensive corporation connections.
- Each year, Mays brings more than 150 executive speakers from leading companies to meet students and enrich their understanding of business concepts. A third of those speakers are former students with a personal connection to Mays.
- In one of the largest student-run career fairs in the country, the Business Student Council Career Fair brings more than 125 companies and their recruiters to campus each spring and fall. The Retailing Career Fair each year brings 40 retailers to Mays.
Mays also has a dedicated, on-site career services liaison who connects undergraduate business students with the resources of the Texas A&M Career Center.
- 540 companies interviewed Mays undergraduate students for career opportunities in 2006; of these, 97 were Fortune 500 companies.
- Undergrads reported an 86 percent success rate in 2006 when it came to getting a job offer or being accepted into the graduate program of their choice.
An entire office is dedicated to helping graduate students prepare for their future careers, network with employers, and fine-tune their job-seeking skills.
- MBA job placement in 2005 was 97 percent within three months of graduation; this is the third consecutive year in which Mays ranked within the top two in the United States in terms of MBA student placement.
