6. Leadership Opportunities

We believe in cultivating leadership.
Helping students develop effective leadership skills is a basic aspect of Mays' culture. Beyond class projects and presentations, you can participate in student organizations at Mays that will help you master the mechanics of teamwork and leadership.
- The Business Student Council is the governing umbrella organization for all Mays student organizations. The council has more than 100 members — from freshmen to seniors — who provide services such as Career Fair and The Edge magazine.
- Mays business student organizations and professional fraternities offer you the opportunity to work with students with like-minded interests while developing your leadership skills.
- MBA students hone their leadership skills through the MBA Association and the National Association of Women MBAs. MBAs also run their own charity organization, which each year hosts MBA Follies and fundraisers in support of key community initiatives.
Texas A&M University is also home to more than 800 student organizations.
