Mays Banking Program
The Mays Banking Program is a flagship academic program in the Department of Finance designed to equip students with the banking and finance skills needed to transition to banking careers and serve the personnel needs of banking organizations in the state of Texas and the United States.
Mays Banking Program students will establish relationships with professionals and other students that will serve them throughout their banking careers and develop the financial skills critical to success as new employees with commercial banks.
Students in the Mays Banking Program will benefit from:
- contacts within a network of bankers
- eligibility to apply for a paid summer banking internship
- mentoring by a banker
- social activities with student and banking participants
- access to banking job opportunities.
The Mays Banking Program is competitive and students must apply for acceptance. The program requires students to complete coursework and a summer internship.
