Courses

Finance Majors:

  • Finance majors should have successfully completed and/or be ‘in progress of’ FINC 351 and 361 prior to registering for most finance electives.
  • Students may be eligible to be forced into full sections of the following required finance courses: FINC 341, 350, 351, 361 and 381, if student meets pre-requisites AND not taking the course would delay graduation.
  • If unable to register for any remaining finance electives, during pre-registration for the graduating semester, the student should complete a force request with the finance department. Note: Getting on a wait list for a full course does not guarantee placement in the course.
  • The best way to potentially enroll in a full course is through watching the registration system for any openings that could occur as other students drop the course.

Non-Finance/Business Majors:

  • Forcing priority is given to Finance Majors and bona fide graduation emergencies.
  • The best way to potentially enroll in a full course is through watching the registration system for any openings that could occur as other students drop the course.

Minors/Non-Business:

  • The only finance courses available to non-business students are FINC 201 and FINC 409.
  • The finance department opens all available seats for both courses on Howdy.
  • There are no force requests for FINC 201 and 409 because every classroom is at physical capacity.
  • Students should monitor Howdy and register if a seat becomes available.
