OU

Friday, November 20th, 2009

My friends and I took a road trip this past weekend to attend the Texas A&M vs. OU game.
It was a long trip up to Oklahoma City/Norman, but so worth it. (Apart from the Aggies losing and me not being able to withstand the windy weather.)

Just a typical day in a jewelry store.

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

This year I’ve been involved with the student advisory council with David Gardner’s jewelers.
We go over marketing strategy, trends and of course … gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, etc.

Today we got to witness the studio and the process of making custom jewelry. It’s quite fascinating that everything from beginning to finish can be made right in that store.

Holidays are overrated …

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Back in my days … THE EARLY 90s … Halloween was one of my favorite holidays.
Free candy, carving pumpkins, apple cider, hay rides, etc. etc.

Now I find this holiday as one of the MOST annoying and 0bnoxious holidays out there.

The Future *insert ominous music*

It’s already November !
That means I’m already working on my summer plans:

Prank Wars ‘09

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

At the beginning of the school year, my hall way created something called “Prank Wars ‘09″.
We drew inspiration primarily from The Office and April Fools. However, Prank Wars has recently ended due to the overwhelming sensitivity it caused. One could say, that is should be called “Sensi Wars ‘09″.

Embarrassing a friend during a date … is perhaps one of the easier pranks.

Austin City Limits

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Once again, I’m a bad Aggie. I missed the football game in Dallas for a music festival.
But I have no regrets. It was an awesome weekend (apart from the rain and mud). Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back next year and maybe even go to South By South West in the spring.

Austin City Limits !

New Things

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Recently, I have been pretty occupied with new things. (Hence, my non-creative title.)
I went home this weekend after a strenuous test week to help my parents look for a new home.
After my little brother graduates high school this year, my parents plan on downsizing.
We drove around all Saturday and got lost in some neighborhoods. By chance, we ended up at the site of some new patio homes.

Anticipating Fall

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I’m getting a little bit of a head start, but fall is perhaps my favorite time of the year.

1. Fashion Week – I’m following from afar. But it is fun following my friends that are still in New York. One of my friends is working with Alexander Wang. I’m 75% happy for her, 25% very very very jealous.
2. Gossip Girl – The plot is subpar, but it is by far one of my favorite shows ever. The cast is so good looking and the clothes are amazing. It inspires me to dress better and sign all outgoing messages with xoxo gossip girl … even though I lose the respect of much of my peers. (more…)

Sensi

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Okay. This is going to be dedicated to the word “Sensi”. Quick back story.
My friends and I like to abbreviate words. Yeah, I don’t know why at all …
But Sensi = Sensitive. It originates from my friend Candace being unnecessarily sensitive. It goes to my friend Charlotte being sensitive about various things including racism, environmental issues, obesity and trivial topics.

Junior Year …

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Hah ! I’m getting old.
It’s a weird feeling.
I find it so easy to spot out the freshmen … then again, people still mistake me for a freshmen. So … I don’t know how I feel about that.
