It’s Official– I love Sweden

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

So, I am still here in Sweden, and the snow is all gone and the weather is BEAUTIFUL!!! My little town, Jonkoping, is even more beautiful that I thought!!!!! There is a lake in the center of town –3 miles around–(I know because I run it every day)– that everyone sits around and talks while the sun beams down! All of the cafes are starting to pull out there “outdoor seating equipment” and I cannot wait to have coffee outside at one!!!! (more…)

I hear it snowed in Texas???

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

So, I hear it snowed in Texas (okay, maybe a little ice too) and school got shut down for 2 days?? Ha, I LOVE TEXAS!

I am currently in Jonkoping, Sweden, on reciprocal exchange! I love it here! Yes, it snows almost every day here, but the city is used to it, so no, no closings for us. (more…)

Life flies at you pretty fast!

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

If you don’t slow down a little, it will just pass you by!

-I feel like that quote by Ferris Bueller pretty much sums up this year so far! I mean, is it already past midterm?

Over the years, I’ve found that I live from one round of exams to the next. I am always thinking “Okay, 2 weeks till the next set” or “after next week’s quiz things will slow down.” (more…)

2 Years Down, 2 More to Go!

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Hello again! This is my second year to blog, and just as a refresher, I am from Dallas, Texas (WHOOP) and am majoring in Finance.

I am in the midst of a VERY EXCITING year! First, with the start of classes, my past few weeks have been nothing short of chaotic. This is because usually, by the first few days, you are expected to have read several chapters in your books. So, if you are like me (and about 99.9% of everyone else I know) then you are behind right off the bat. (more…)

The End is Near

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

Okay, so not the end of the world, just the semester! Am I excited? Yes and No. This is such a bitter-sweet time. In college, friends go in all different directions for the summer. It’s hard saying bye to them! Think of it like the end of summer camp. You all exchange email addresses and phone #’s in hopes that they won’t forget you until you see them again! –Kidding, it’s not that extreme! (more…)

To be or not to be….INVOLVED

Monday, March 20th, 2006

I am sure that many of you are involoved in a multitude of things at your schools right now. You are probably thinking “I can’t wait to get to college because then I won’t have to be committed to all of these organizations, etc.” I know I was. In high school, I did EVERTHING from varsity cheerleading and volleyball to yearbook Editor-in-Chief to AP classes, and I worked and made straight A’s on top of that. Yeah, I had a full plate, so when I got to college, I was like “I need ME time.” No committments, no meetings to attend, no set schedule– except for CLASSES! (more…)

A little about ME!

Hi! So, because this is my 1st blog, I should tell you a little about who I am.

I am from Dallas and am majoring in finance! Many of you are probably thinking about “WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO MAJOR IN” and let me assure you, don’t stress! Chances are, you are already in MAYS BUSINESS SCHOOL, so NO NEED to stress! You’ve already gotten into the business school and as many will tell you, it’s hard transferring into Mays, so congrats on already being here! (more…)
