Many people say that their college years were the best times of their life. Because there were no permanent careers to be attached to, students came to college to gain knowledge by getting a degree for their future careers and to immerse themselves in campus activities. From this past year, I found that networking with people in college required me to invest my time in getting to know someone and to establish meaningful relationships that will help me succeed later on in life. Howdy Bloggers,
I know it’s been WAY TOO LONG since my last post, but school life is getting crazy! (– Funny thing about college: The older you get, the less stressed out you are about classes, and the more anxious you get about finding a job after graduation.) Lately, my main objective has been to find an internship for this coming summer. For those of you who have been loyal readers of my earlier blogs, you’d know that I have ridiculous aspirations to be an actor. WELL…
Even though I should be a good business major and find an internship with a retailing company, I decided to go with a different approach. Two weeks ago, I went on the AggieNetwork, which is a database of all the aggie alumni, and I looked up ags that work for production companies in California. (more…)

As I mentioned before I am a member of the Hispanic Business Student’s Association at Mays Business School. This year there are many new and exciting things happening within the organization. This Wednesday, 25 Aggie business students will drive to Houston and board a plane to California!!!! We will be attending the National Hispanic Business Association Leadership Conference. The best part of all this is that through lots of fundraising HBSA was able to pay for all of our air flights!! (more…)

Howdy, y’all!
It’s Eddie again. I can hardly believe it’s already been nearly a month since my last post. What an eventful month it has been! Allow me to outline what’s been going on here in Aggieland the last few weeks.
Tests, Tests, and more Tests. Midterm exams have been the unofficial theme of the month, and I’ve logged more than my share of hours preparing for this crucial round of tests. (more…)

So far this has been a really busy semester for me and time is going by so fast…I can’t believe that there are only about seven more weeks until Christmas break!!! I recently joined the African American Business Society and I am really excited about being apart of this organization. I enjoy all of the speakers who come out to share information with us about their companies and what we can do to become apart of those companies. Not only do they share information about their companies, but they also give vital information in preparing us for the business world in general. (more…)

If you don’t slow down a little, it will just pass you by!
-I feel like that quote by Ferris Bueller pretty much sums up this year so far! I mean, is it already past midterm?
Over the years, I’ve found that I live from one round of exams to the next. I am always thinking “Okay, 2 weeks till the next set” or “after next week’s quiz things will slow down.” (more…)

Wow,
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have just been so bogged down with my extracurricular activites. As long as we are on the subject of my activities, I would like to take a moment to talk about the business school’s freshmen learning communities, the Freshmen Business Initiative (FBI.) As a peer leader for the honors section of FBI I have had the opportunity to witness the formation of a truly revolution academic experience. Students are placed in small groups to offer a more personal learning environment. (more…)
