2007: What a year already!

Hello Fellow Bloggees,

Happy New Year to Everyone! The year has just started and boy am I already tried. I am only taking 12 hours, but they are some tough classes. It seems like all my profs are freaking out because we missed the first 2 days of classes. I personally didn’t think that it was going to put so much pressure on everyone. Off To a Great Start!

Welcome fellow guests!

This marks the 3rd week of the new semester and I am already feeling the strain of the workload. I just got hired to be a supplemental instruction leader for political science 206 or US National Government. My job description entails going to lectures for that course, doing the readings/homework assignments, holding 3 hours review sessions, and 5 hours of training and prepping for lessons so I can teach and facilitate learning effectively as a peer. So, I hear it snowed in Texas (okay, maybe a little ice too) and school got shut down for 2 days?? Ha, I LOVE TEXAS!

I am currently in Jonkoping, Sweden, on reciprocal exchange! I love it here! Yes, it snows almost every day here, but the city is used to it, so no, no closings for us. (more…)

Back in the Saddle

Hi, everyone!

It’s amazing how refreshing a break form the daily grind of classes can be! I am so excited to be back in the saddle I can barely sit still (not that I’d have that opportunity anyway!). I have a much better class schedule this semester than I did last semester. I learned (the hard way), that 8AM classes are only good if you usually get plenty of rest the night before class. Of course, that wasn’t my lot last semester, but I’ve had a much better time of staying awake and learning in class since my earliest class is 11:30 AM. (more…)
