After this past weekend, I now can finally say that I’ve been to Dallas. Dallas is a pretty cool place, I really don’t know what took me so long!
I went with other members of my sorority’s executive board to Southern Methodist University for an officer training program for all the chapters in Texas.
Everything was actually going great … besides the 10 hour long days and the outbreak of influenza on the SMU campus. Yes, that’s right, outbreak of influenza.
Let me elaborate. SMU just had their sorority recruitment about 1.78 weeks ago. Apparently one freshmen girl that was going through recruitment had the flu and spread it to everyone she met. Now about 50% of the school’s population has influenza. So take your vitamins and wash your hands, especially if you want to hang out with me.
This week has not been that eventful, but has gone by so fast. I’m going to home this weekend to pick up some things I forgot and hang out with the family unit. Conveniently, the retreat I have to attend this weekend happens to be in proximity of my hood. So it’s a two in one weekend !
