To get marketing 484 credit for my internship I have to get at least 300 total hours. It is suggested that it is 30 hours a week over a span of 10 weeks. I am going to be here for 10 weeks, however at the hours I am working … I think I am going to accumulate at least 600 hours. My first week alone, I will have 50 hours. (That includes me working on Sunday!)

As of now, I am really enjoying my internship. The hours seem kind of unreasonable at times for an unpaid intern, however my boss paid for my taxi the other night whenever I left the office around 8:45. I assume the same will apply for the upcoming market week. The entire Cruise 2010 collection came in on Friday afternoon. The company is having a training program so that everyone becomes familiar with the products on Sunday. Then all the buyers from major department stores, such as Neiman Marucs, Saks, Berdorf Goodmans, etc. will all be coming into our showrooms to make their selections. We have been preparing detailed price list break downs, line lists, etc. and presentations for them. It is going to be very hectic, but seeing the behind the scenes work is incredible!

Today is my only free day off for the next 2 weeks. I wish this day was longer so that I could explore the city more and go to my favorite spots. However, I have yet to leave the relm of 57th street. My office is in the middle, my apartment is on the west side, while my brother’s is on the east. I have only been to those places and places in between. But when the next 2 weeks are over, I will be able to do as I please (kind of).
