Language Instruction

Language training is available in multiple formats – teacher-led instruction, conversational instruction, in-country immersion, and technology-based instruction – to accommodate different learning styles, time and location limitations and level of achievement desired. For less common languages, native speaker-led small learning groups and private tutorials can be arranged. Our goal is to assist the learner to find the appropriate format that best fits individual needs.

Conversational

Conversation Partner
Students can become a conversation partner for international students at the English Language Institute (ELI). The time commitment is minimal: 1 hour per week to meet in a casual environment and talk about various subjects, such as food, customs, music, movies, etc. For more information, visit the English Language Institute.

International Exchange Partners
Coordinated in the Study Abroad Program Office, the International Exchange Partners Program provides an opportunity for Texas A&M students to interact with incoming international exchange students. If you are willing to email exchange students before they arrive, help them get settled in and join them in social activities, contact Study Abroad at 979-845-0544.
