CMIS Women In IT Conference

The CMIS Women in IT (WIT) conference is an event for women to network and learn from others currently building their careers in information technology. Topics include lessons learned from senior executives, managers, professionals and new graduates in the workforce on topics such as finding a job, career building, finding a mentor and new technology trends.
Female students with an interest in information technology who are currently enrolled at Texas A&M University and any of the schools in the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS including Prairie View A&M and Blinn College) are invited to participate in WIT 2017. The conference should be of particular interest to women enrolled in the following degree programs at Texas A&M University (or their equivalent at the various TAMUS schools).
- BBA in MIS degree program
- MS-MIS degree program (including Professional Program students)
- Computer Science
- Technology Management
The cost for student attendees is $12.
Former Students and Other IT Professionals
CMIS invites women former students who earned a BANA, INFO, MISY, or ISYS degree from the Department of Information and Operations Management at Texas A&M University and women IT professionals to attend and participate in the conference.
The cost for former students and IT professional attendees is $35. University faculty or staff are $30 per person.
CMIS Board Member Companies
CMIS corporate advisory board member companies are invited to send up-to-four women attendees (depending on CMIS membership level) to the conference. The cost for these attendees is included in the CMIS board member company’s annual membership dues. Board member companies are not limited to only three attendees. Any number of women from board member companies may attend the conference. However, CMIS board membership only provides up-to-four complimentary registrations (depending on CMIS membership level).
