Student Organizations

Business Information Technology Students

BITS is a student organization that was formed in 2014 when the membership of the student chapter of AITP at Texas A&M elected to discontinue their affiliation with the national AITP chapter. BITS is designed to bring together undergraduate and graduate students in Management Information Systems and provide them with a forum to interact with industry representatives. The purpose of these interactions is to supplement the students’ education, to provide them with opportunities to network with both their peers and members of industry, and to assist them in their career development.

Women in Information Technology

Women in IT is a student run organization at Texas A&M University, formed in 2014,  that hopes to help women in the field of Management Information Systems to network among each other as well as with business professionals all over the nation. Throughout the school semester, they meet together for various social activities, service activities, and company networking events. They recruit new members in both the fall and spring semesters.  They are the principal planners for the annual Women in Technology Conference sponsored through CMIS.
