The school’s special events center is named after dean emeritus Benton Cocanougher, who led the charge for Mays’ growth for 14 years until his retirement as dean in 2001. The Benton and Dianne Cocanougher Special Events Center is the site of lectures from distinguished guests, student organization gatherings, and luncheons to honor students, faculty and staff. It comfortably seats up to 80 participants.
