Kumar is recognized as the Chang Jiang Scholar at HUST, China; Lee Kong Chian Fellow at SMU, Singapore; ISB Senior Fellow, Indian School of Business, India; and has received 12 Lifetime Achievement Awards; 20 Best Article awards, and over 12 Best Teacher Awards – all in the field of marketing.He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marketing and has published more than 250 articles in scholarly journals in marketing as well as book chapters. He also has written 25 books (translated in more than six languages), including Managing Customers for Profit, Customer Relationship Management, Customer Lifetime Value, Marketing Research, Profitable Customer Engagement, Statistical Methods in CRM, and International Marketing Research.
VK has been chosen as a Legend in Marketing, where his work is published in a 10-volume encyclopedia with commentaries from scholars worldwide. Worldwide companies have reported gaining more than $2 billion dollars when using the models and strategies Dr. Kumar has developed.
