Courses and Requirements for University Studies-Business Concentration
The Bachelor of Science (BS) is offered in University Studies by Texas A&M University to currently enrolled students. The B.S. University Studies-Business (USBU) degree consists of a 24 hour business concentration and two minors of 15-18 hours each. The degree program allows a student to tailor his or her undergraduate work to align with future personal and career objectives.
The business concentration encompasses a foundational knowledge in the basic aspects of business including accounting, finance, management, management information systems, marketing and supply chain management.
The two minors are of the student’s selection and must be completed outside of Mays Business School. The student is encouraged to identify minors that complement the business concentration and reflect the student’s individual interests and strengths. Students who graduate with the University Studies-Business degree pursue a wide range of graduate programs and careers.
Students applying for the University Studies-Business degree plan must have a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA, no exceptions, and not exceed 100 hours. Application is made by completing a formal application and meeting with the University Studies advisor.
Change of Curriculum to USBU is not a gateway to a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. Should you choose to pursue a USBU degree, you will not be allowed to switch to a BBA degree program.
