How to Get an Internship / Process & Placement
We encourage first-year students to secure an internship before the spring break period, in mid-March. Although, this isn’t required and may not always be possible.
Questions?Contact the MS/HRM program team if you have any questions about the internship process.
Once you secure an internship, you will be contacted to complete a Student Internship Information Form, providing contact information for the summer, as well as job-related details of the internship.
Before the Internship
Before
the end of the spring semester, you will be contacted about
registration for the summer internship course. Students with
an internship outside of the Bryan/College Station area will
be registered “in absentia,” meaning they will
be exempt from campus user fees.
After the Internship
Before the summer internship concludes, the program team will
request by mail that you complete an internship assessment
form. This gives us important feedback about your internship
experience.
In addition, we require that you submit a written report about the internship, which will determine your grade (Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory) for the internship course.
