Biography
Paul S. Busch is a Professor of Marketing, Lowry Mays College & Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University. He was a Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing at Texas A&M University from 1986 to 1996. From 1977 to 1986, he served on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.He has published over 40 articles, some of which have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Marketing Research, Decision Sciences, Journal of Business Research, and Business Horizons. He has co-authored (with Professor Mike Houston) an introductory marketing text, Marketing Strategic Foundations, published by Richard D. Irwin, Inc.
Dr. Busch has been a member off the Editorial Review Boards of: Journal of Marketing (1979-1996), and currently serves on the boards of Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, Asian Journal of Marketing, and Marketing Management. In 1980, he was Chairperson of the American Marketing Association (AMA) National Educators' Meetings. From 1983-85, he served on the AMA Board of Directors and served as Vice President of the Education Division of the AMA form 1984-85. From 1992-94, he served as chair of the AMA/Irwin Distinguished Marketing Educator Selection Committee.
Dr. Busch has worked in retailing and as a sales representative. He has conducted marketing research and served as a marketing consultant for a variety of industries including: manufacturing, health care, public utilities, retailing, soft drinks, federal highways administration, defense, information technology, and university administration.
Major consulting and executive development assignments have been completed with Sperry Rand Corporation, Coca-Cola, Wisconsin Association of Manufacturers, Small Business Administration, University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, Center for Advanced Study on Health Care Fiscal Management, Organization and Control (University of Wisconsin), Mississippi Valley Gas Company, Graduate Institute of Bank Marketing (Louisiana State University), United Division of Pfizer, Star Furniture, Sachowitz & Company Marketing and Advertising, Texas A&M University Physical Plant and Office of Continuous Improvement, the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Lockheed Martin, The Guest Amenities Group (A Division of National Sanitary Supply), United States Army Community and Family Support Center.
