Biography

Dr. Shearon joined the Texas A&M accounting faculty in 1980. His primary research and teaching areas are managerial accounting and accounting systems. Also, for a number of years he taught the doctoral seminar in managerial accounting. He has published over 25 academic and professional papers.

From 1986-1995 Dr. Shearon served as the Assistant Department Head and as the Master's Program advisor for the Department of Accounting. During his years at Texas A&M, he has received departmental, college, and university level teaching awards. During 1991-1997, Dr. Shearon served as one of our college's representatives in the Texas A&M Faculty Senate. His committee assignments included the academic affairs and the core curriculum. During 1995-2000, he served as the Director of the Mays nationally ranked MBA program.
