Donald R. Fraser

Biography

Dr. Fraser holds the Hugh Roy Cullen Chair in Business Administration. His teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in financial management, financial institutions, and financial markets. Prior to joining Texas A&M, he was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Bell Telephone Laboratories, and the University of Texas at El Paso.

He has extensive consulting experience, primarily with commercial banks and bank holding companies as well as substantial experience in Executive Development Programs offered by Texas A&M. His over 100 articles have appeared in Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, Journal of Financial Services Research, Financial Management, Journal of Financial Research, as well as in other finance and business publications. In addition, he is the coauthor of twelve books dealing with financial markets and financial institutions. He has served as associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of the Midwest Finance Association, and as a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Retail Banking. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at First American Bank.
