Biography
In addition to Texas A&M University, Dr. Flores as taught at Indiana University's Graduate School of Business, The University of Monterrey's Graduate School of Business, Monterrey, N.L. Mexico, Monterrey Institute of Technology's Industrial Engineering Department and Graduate School of Business in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico, Stanford University's Industrial Engineering Department and The University of Houston's Industrial Engineering Department in Houston, TX. Dr. Flores has over 10 years of full time business experience. He has consulted with industry in the areas of sales forecasting, linear programming, materials requirements planning, equipment evaluation and strategic planning. He was employed by such companies as HYL (World Wide Sales of Steel Technology, ALFA Industrial Group, Schlumberger Corporation and B.F. Goodrich. He currently serves as Assistant Department Head of the Information and Operations Management Departemnt. He has also served as the Department Head and the Program Director for the Graduate School of Business at Monterrey Institute of Technology. Dr. Flores has published over 40 refereed papers in journals such as: Operations Research, Communications of the ACM, Management Science, Production and Inventory Management Journal, International Journal of Operations and Productions Management, Omega, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Forecasting and Mathematics, and Computer Modeling. He currently serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Operations Management and the International Journal of Production Economics. His present research interests are in the areas of International Business, Forecasting, Quality and Manufacturing practices, Operations Strategy, and Knowledge Management.
