Biography
Mr. Norton has been involved in information technology since 1991, serving as a corporate trainer and consultant. He was previously the Project Leader and Interim Project Director for the Training Center at Texas A&M's Computing and Information Services Department and held a position in the TEES Network and Computing Services division as a Server and Desktop administrator.
Before coming to TAMU, Mr. Norton was self-employed, training employees from companies such as Shell Oil and Aramco in desktop computing while also providing consulting services for other companies.
In addition to serving as the System Administrator for the INFO department, Mr. Norton teaches Data Communications and Networking (INFO 306 and 634), Database Management Systems class (INFO 328) and the Business Information Systems Concepts (INFO 209 and 210) classes.
He currently serves as the faculty advisor for the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) student organization.
