Biography

Ms. Thornton teaches intermediate financial accounting for non-accounting majors and financial accounting principles. She also serves as an academic advisor for the Department of Accounting.

Ms. Thornton has received an Outstanding Teaching Award from the Texas A&M; Association of Former Students, the Faculty Spirit Award from the Traditions Council, and has been a Fish Camp namesake.

She serves as faculty advisor to the Financial Services Organization (FSO) and the Business Administration Society (BAS). She also teaches a review course for the financial accounting and reporting part of the CPA exam.
