Biography
Christopher Porter is an Associate Professor of Management at Mays Business School. Since joining the faculty in 2001, he has taught Business Negotiation and Leadership. His research interests team composition and teamwork processes, leadership, negotiations, performance appraisals, workplace fairness. He also has an interest in and conducts research on police performance management. His research has appeared Academy of Management Journal, International Journal of Conflict Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Police Quarterly.
Christopher holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice and specializes in the police and law enforcement. He has consulted with the Michigan Council on Crime and Delinquency and with the National Juvenile Detention Association in addition to a number of police departments throughout the State of Texas. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
