Biography

James H. Leigh is Associate Professor of Marketing. Prior to joining the Texas A&M University in 1981, he served on the faculty of Eastern Michigan University during the final year of his Doctoral Program.
Dr. Leigh has published over 25 refereed journal articles which have been published in such journals as Educational and Psychological Measurement, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business and Psychology, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Management, Journal of Marketing Resarch, and Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Management, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Public Policy & Marketing
In addition, he is co-founder and co-editor (with Claude R. Martin, Jr. of the University of Michigan) of the Journal of Current Issues and Resarch in Advertising, which was first published in 1978. His work has also appeared in a number of national conference proceedings. His primary research interests are in the areas of advertising measurement and assessment, consumer behavior, marketing research, and public policy. Dr. Leigh currently serves on the Editorial Review Boards ofJournal of Advertising and Journal of Marketing & Public Policy, and as an ad hoc reviewer for a number of journals, including the Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research, and national conferences.
In 1995, Leigh received the Outstanding Contribution to Research in Advertising Award from the American Academy of Advertising for his substantive contriburtions made to the study of advertising. In 1994, he received the Exceptional Contribution by a JPP&M Reviewer Award presented by the American Marketing Association, and in 2005 received the Journal of Advertising Best Reviewer Award. Dr. Leigh also was awarded the 1987-1988 Outstanding Research Achievement Award, Mays Business School, Texas A&M University.
