Biography
Rogelio Oliva is Associate Professor of Information and Operation Management at the Mays Business School, Adjunct Professor at the Zaragoza Logistics Center, and Research Affiliate at MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. He has also held faculty positions at the Harvard Business School, the Adolfo Ibanez University (Chile), and Monterrey Tech (Mexico), and served as a Research Associate at the Center for Organizational Learning and the System Dynamics Group at MIT.
Dr. Oliva received his doctorate from MIT in Operations Management and System Dynamics. His current research interests include service operations, behavioral operations, and the transition that product manufacturers are making to become service providers.
Dr. Oliva's research work has been published in several academic journals, among them, Management Science, California Management Review, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, European Journal of Operations Research, System Dynamics Review, and the Int. Journal of Service Industry Management. He currently serves as Associate Editor of the System Dynamics Review.
