Biography
Dr. Sirmon holds a Ph.D. (2004) in Management with emphases on entrepreneurship and strategic management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and has previously served on the faculty at Clemson University. Dr. Sirmon’s research focuses on the intersection of entrepreneurship and strategy. Building from the resource-based view, it explores the strategies, processes and environmental factors that affect the realization of competitive advantage and wealth creation. Additional interests include family business, boards of directors, and strategic entrepreneurship. His research appears or is forthcoming in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, among others. He also serves on the editorial review boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing and Family Business Review.View my research here: http://ssrn.com/author=732672
