Biography
Dr. Katherine T. Smith received her Doctor of Business Administration degree from Louisiana Tech University in May 1986. Dr. Smith teaches international marketing, strategic retailing, and marketing research in the Marketing Department at Texas A&M University. She has previously taught at the University of Mississippi and Louisiana Tech University. Her teaching and research interests include international marketing, retailing, Generation Y, gender, and work-life balance. Dr. Smith's research articles have appeared in a number of publications, including Journal of Business Ethics, Advances in Marketing, Journal of Professional Services Marketing, and Accounting Education (UK). She has served on the editorial boards of four national journals. She has co-authored several books. In addition, she has made presentations at professional meetings in the U.S. and abroad. She and her husband, Murphy, have three children and reside in College Station, Texas.
