After graduating with a B.S. in Finance from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in 2003, Matt spent several years in both the banking and pharmaceutical industries before pursuing his Ph.D in Management from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina (2016). He joined the faculty at Texas A&M in the Management department as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2016. His research seeks to understand the link between individual and organizational performance, and how organizations can appropriate value from an increasingly mobile workforce, with particular interest in star employees. His work has been published in the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Applied Psychology.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing and listening to music as well as spending time with his wife and five children (all boys).
