Dean Eli Jones and Bill Peel are hosting a Strategic Planning Initiative Lunch & Learn session to explore and discuss new ways of thinking about teaching and learning. Higher education pedagogy is rapidly changing with new advances in academic innovation, technology and learning methods. Mays Business School is committed to thoughtfully researching and considering the array of Vibrant Learning Community initiatives. Under Strategic Initiative # 3 in our Strategic Plan 2017-2021, we are committed to advancing impactful teaching and learning. This includes considering emerging pedagogy, delivery methods and online learning.

Corey Anthony, Senior Vice President – Human Resources & Chief Diversity Officer of AT&T Services, Inc. will be our featured speaker at the Strategic Planning Initiative (SPI) Lunch & Learn on April 16th. Corey is a 1994 graduate of Mays Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a double major in Accounting and Finance. He is responsible for identifying and developing leaders, aligning employees with the company’s vision and priorities and overseeing employee engagement. Corey also leads AT&T’s initiatives to leverage leadership in diversity and inclusion to drive innovation and growth. Prior to his current position, Corey led the Emerging Services and Operations Transformation organization. AT&T is a world leader in communications, media, entertainment and technology with 2017 revenues of over $160 billion. A Fortune 10 company, the company has a history of innovation and a commitment to fostering an inclusive culture.

Corey will be introducing us to the innovative partnerships AT&T is developing with the higher education community, including their advancements in distance education and online learning.Come prepared for an engaging conversation around the future of academic innovation and the advancement of Mays as a vibrant learning community.

The SPI Lunch & Learn will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Wehner Building. Lunch will be provided.
