Experience Overview

Full-Time Executive MBA students learn from prominent business leaders through the Dean’s MBA Executive Speaker Series. This series, which includes conversations in both large and small groups, offers top business leaders the opportunity to share their personal leadership philosophy and experiences with the next generation of business leaders.

Previous speakers include senior executives from General Motors, GE Appliances and Lighting, Compaq Computer Corporation, The Clorox Company, Oceaneering International, and AT&T.

2014 – 2015 Speaker

Robert Jordan
Bob Jordan serves as Southwest Airlines’ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this position, he provides executive leadership for Marketing, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Customer Support and Services, Customer Relations, and the Customer Experience. Bob’s key responsibilities include oversight of the Southwest brand, continuous improvement of the Customer Experience, growing the award-winning Rapid Rewards loyalty program, product distribution and southwest.com, and delivering on the company’s revenue plan. Bob is also responsible for the delivery of key company initiatives, and serves as President of Southwest’s wholly owned subsidiary, AirTran Airways.Bob joined Southwest Airlines in 1988. During his time at Southwest he has held multiple roles and led numerous change initiatives, including the acquisition of AirTran Airways, the development of the southwest.com e-commerce platform, the Rapid Rewards loyalty program, and an enhanced boarding process. Bob holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration, both from Texas A&M University.
