Position Announcements
The Department of Information and Operations intends to hire two new colleagues to join our faculty in September 2012. The positions are at the rank of full professor in the area of supply chain management. Candidates with an exceptional scholarly record will be considered for an endowed position.
Successful candidates will pursue and promote a research agenda in supply chain management focused on premier-quality publications in leading journals; provide intellectual leadership for junior faculty and doctoral students; play a pivotal role in extending the national reputation of the department through scholarship and service; and teach courses across our undergraduate and graduate programs.
Qualifications: PhD in operations management, supply chain management or closely related field; demonstrated excellence in both academic scholarship and teaching; an active research agenda; demonstrated record of recruiting and developing doctoral students; demonstrated ability to work with industry, able to collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school, demonstrated contributions to departmental programs, and qualifications to be appointed to rank of full professor at Texas A&M University.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management ranks among the top departments in the world in terms of research productivity, impact, and visibility. The department includes faculties in supply chain management and management information systems. In addition to our PhD program in supply chain management and MS-MIS programs, the department makes on-going contributions to Mays’ undergraduate, MBA, and EMBA programs. Several of our faculty members serve as associate editors or senior editors with leading journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences and others. Our faculty has received best paper awards, best associate editor, and best reviewer awards from a variety of leading journals and has assumed leadership in academic societies such as the INFORMS, Production & Operations Management Society, Systems Dynamics Society, and the Decision Sciences Institute. Professors from our department consistently receive teaching awards at the college and university levels.
