BBA Degree Requirements
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree requires:
Three (3) core courses
- MKTG 322 (Consumer Behavior)
- MKTG 323 (Marketing Research)
- MKTG 448 (Marketing Management)
Four (4) marketing elective courses
Students may choose four MKTG elective courses (numbered 300-499). Students should view these elective courses as an opportunity to further their studies according to their career interest.
Current elective options are listed in the Undergraduate Business Student Handbook, Course descriptions can be found in the Texas A&M University Undergraduate Catalog.
Six (6) marketing elective courses (starting with the 2011 catalog)
Students may choose six MKTG elective courses (numbered 300-499).
Please note:
- MKTG 321 is a prerequisite for all MKTG courses.
- INFO 303 is a prerequisite for MKTG 323.
- MKTG 323 is a prerequisite for MKTG 448.
- MKTG 448 can only be taken in a student’s graduating semester.
Additional requirements
Marketing majors must also complete the business requirements as outlined by Mays Business School in their respective catalog's Undergraduate Business Student Handbook.
Internship
Marketing majors can earn three hours of marketing elective credit through an approved internship and co-enrollment in MKTG 484.
Transfer credit
For questions regarding transfer credit, please visit the Texas A&M University Office of Admissions. Students are encouraged to check the Texas Common Course Numbering System to see if a class will transfer for credit to Texas A&M.
