Students in class

Study Abroad

There are a variety of study abroad options for Mays students.  The Texas A&M Study Abroad Programs Office has detailed descriptions of the study abroad options that are available to students.

All Texas A&M students who are participating in international activities will need to register with TAMU’s Study Abroad Programs Office in Bizzell West to provide Emergency Contact Information, obtain Travel/Medical Insurance, and register with the U.S. State Department’s website (https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/ui/) prior to departure abroad.

Please note the following information for the different program types:

Marketing Study Abroad

The Marketing Department participates in faculty-led study abroad through MKTG 402/403 in the summer under the leadership of Dr. Steve McDaniel. Up to six (6) hours of marketing elective credit is granted upon successful completion.

Texas A&M Reciprocal Exchange Program (REEP)

Texas A&M participates in reciprocal exchange whereby students have the opportunity to spend a semester or academic year abroad at a participating partner school.  REEP academic coursework is equivalent to Texas A&M coursework and grades.  For more information on reciprocal exchange and participating partner schools, please visit http://studyabroad.tamu.edu/ and the Mays Center for International Business Studies.

Non-Texas A&M/Independent Study Abroad Programs

Marketing students can only receive International or General Elective credit through independent study abroad. Independent study abroad coursework is treated as transfer credit for grades.  For more information on independent study abroad programs, please visit http://studyabroad.tamu.edu/.
