Financial assistance
There are several options for those who need help paying for their graduate studies in HRM.
Scholarships
Several scholarships are available to MS/HRM students. Students will be considered for these competitive scholarships during the admissions process. No separate application is required.
Assistantships
A limited number of graduate assistantships within the Department of Management are competitively awarded to MS/HRM students. These 10- or 20-hour per week assignments often involve assisting a management faculty member with their teaching or research. Students interested in these opportunities should check the appropriate box in the personal information section of the graduate application.
Students may also seek assistantships in other departments within Mays or the university. Students can also check with the Student Employment Office to learn about various work opportunities on campus and in the local community.
Loans and grants
There are other financial assistance programs available to graduate students through Texas A&M’s Department of Student Financial Aid. Programs available include:
- Federal Student Loan (FSL)
- Hinson-Hazlewood Loan
- State Student Incentive Grant (SSIG)
- Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG)
- College work-study (CW-S)
- Regular part-time employment
