Incoming Freshman Scholarships

There are several sources of scholarships for incoming freshmen. The deadline to apply for scholarships through Student Financial Aid and the Office of Honors Programs and Academic Scholarships is December 1, 2009. You can apply for these scholarships using the ApplyTexas Application for Admissions and Scholarships. For helpful tips on completing your application, visit scholarships.tamu.edu.

Additional documentation is required for scholarships offered through the Office of Honors Programs and Academic Scholarships and all documentation must be received by the application deadline. Carefully note the deadline for each scholarship and do not wait to apply! If you apply late, you run the risk of not completing your application in time for consideration.

Mays Business School

Mays offers merit-based and academic scholarships for incoming freshmen through the University Honors office. To apply for these, you must have fully completed both the Application and Scholarships side of the dual ApplyTexas application as well as provide University Honors with supporting documents. These documents include, but may not be limited to, a student profile sheet and another copy of your transcript mailed directly to the University Honors office.

Completing this process not only places you in the review pool for Mays scholarships, but also for other non-major specific Honors scholarships. Eligibility is based on an SAT I score of 1300 or better (600 each for Critical Reading and Math). The deadline for applications for scholarships offered by Mays is December 1.
