Question: What are the requirements to become a business student?
Answer: Go to the Enrollment Management section of the UPO web page.
   
Question: How can I see an advisor?
Answer: Lower level business students (BUAD, BUAG) receive advising from academic advisors in the Undergraduate Program Office (UPO), 238 Wehner. The academic advisors and graduate assistants of the UPO are available to serve all business freshmen and sophomores. You are encouraged to meet regularly with an advisor.

   
Question: Who is my academic advisor?
Answer: Although you are not assigned to a specific advisor; you may request to meet with the advisor of your choice.

Answer: Please see the Student Information System section of the Business Student Handbook.
   
Question: Where can I get a degree audit?
Answer: Upper Level business students, degree audits can view and print using the Student Information System. Students classified as BUAD/BUAG can request an audit in their expected major Degree Audit in the Registrar's Office, Suite 1500, General Services Complex, 750 Agronomy Road, College Station, Texas, or call 979-845-1089 for $1.00.
   
Question: What are the requirements for undergraduate minor in business?
Answer: Go to the Minor in Business section of the UPO website.
   
Question: How important are co-ops and internships?
Answer: Internships and cooperative education (co-op) will boost your potential. Both provide students on-the-job experience in a variety of business sectors and industries, and boost your potential. The majority of Mays undergraduate students participate in internships or cooperative education (Co-op) before graduation. Question: How do I know which courses I can transfer to Texas A&M?
Answer: The transfer of course credit is determined by the Office of Admissions and Records on a course-by-course basis. Acceptance of transfer of credit is generally limited to those courses taught in the freshman and sophomore years at Texas A&M University, and the Texas Common Course Numbering System (TCCNS) has been designed for the purpose of aiding students in the transfer of general academic courses between colleges and universities. Business students are instructed to have all transfer course credit (including correspondence, dual enrollment and credit-by-exam) posted to their Texas A&M University transcript before the first class day of the graduating semester. Question: Has my transcript arrived?
Answer: The Transfer Admissions Office in the Metro Centre receives and posts all transcripts. You can check on the Student Information System to see if your transcript has been received. Contact Transfer Admissions about any transcript-related questions. They can be reached at 979-845-7387.
   
Question: How can I receive the Certificate in International Business or European Union Business or Latin American Business?
Answer: Students pursuing any one of the international Certification Programs must complete all requirements for the specific program PRIOR to graduation. Interested students are responsible for planning early and often to complete the requirements.

Specific requirements are available through the Center for International Business Studies Web site. To receive transcript certification, you must complete the appropriate application available at the UPO, 238 Wehner, during your graduating semester.
   
Question: Does Mays Business School have any scholarships for undergraduate students?
Answer: Please see the Scholarships link on the Undergraduate Program Office web site. Scholarships are are available for sophomores, juniors and seniors
   
Question: What is required to earn a double major?
Answer: Normally it takes an extra semester and a summer to complete the courses to earn a double major, about 15 to 27 hours of credit. To declare a double major, you must have a cumulative GPR of 2.75 or greater and must apply no later than the SEMESTER BEFORE graduation. If you are interested in learning more about this option, make an appointment to meet with the department advisor for the double major.
   
Question: What is the difference between GPR and GPA?
Answer: There is no difference. Texas A&M University uses the terms GPR ("Grade Point Ratio") and GPA ("Grade Point Average") interchangeably.
   
Question: How do I calculate my Texas A&M and transfer GPRs?
Answer: Please see the Transfer of Credits section in the Online Business Student Handbook.

   
Question: Will a "D" transfer to Texas A&M?
Answer: Please see the Transfer of Credits section in the Online Business Student Handbook.
   
Question: What do I need to do before I graduate?
Answer: Requirements for Graduation are available in the Online Business Student Handbook. You must apply for graduation at the beginning of your final semester at Texas A&M University.
   
Question: What GPR must I maintain to continue enrollment in Mays Business School?
Answer: Please refer to the Standard for Good Academic Standing section in the Online Business Student Handbook.
   
Question: Who do I talk to if I want to get forced into a class?
Answer: Please refer to the Forcing section in the Online Business Student Handbook.
   
Question: How many hours does it take to be a full-time student?
Answer: Fall/Spring - at least 12 hours
Summer, 5 week - at least 4 hours
Summer, 10 week - at least 8 hours

   
Question: Can I take classes at A&M and Blinn at the same time?
Answer: Yes, students may enroll in classes concurrently at Texas A&M University and Blinn College. Students are advised to use the Texas Common Course Numbering System to choose direct Texas A&M University course equivalents. International students (F-1) must see an International Student Services Advisor for permission to co-enroll.
