Footnotes For All Curricula

1. To be selected from any American History course, limited to 3 hours of Texas History (elective list).
2. Elective courses are any courses offered for university credit and up to 12 hours may be taken on a pass/fail basis (S/U).
3. Choose from the list of Natural Science courses (elective list).
4. English 104 is a core curriculum requirement. Enrollment in the course is restricted to students with freshman or sophomore classification (transfer hours included). During summer conferences, students with SAT verbal scores of 550 or higher or ACT English scores of 23 or higher are required to take the English 104 Departmental Exam. 5. MATH 131, 151, or 171 will be accepted in lieu of MATH 142. MATH 152, 166, 172 or 304 will be accepted for MATH 141.
6. To be selected from a list of courses in Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology and Women's Studies (elective list). Students majoring in Management or Marketing must take PSYC 107.
7. Choose from the list of Humanities Elective courses (elective list).
   
8. Any 300- or 400-level Accounting course except ACCT 315. Before enrolling in ACCT 489, students should check with an advisor in the Accounting Department.
9. Any Finance course except FINC 201, 478, AND 484.
10. MGMT and INFO majors should select their directed electives from the lists located in the Undergraduate Program Office, 209 Wehner. Students who wish to use courses that are not listed need approval from their department advisor. (MIS elective list) (SUP elective list) (MGMT elective list)
11. Choose from the list of International Elective courses (elective list). Agribusiness majors should go to room 331 Blocker for a complete list of approved international electives.
12. Any 300- or 400-level business course (ACCT, INFO, FINC, MGMT) except MKTG.

Six hours of technical agricultural electives to be selected from: AGSM/FSTC 213 (Food Plant Engineering); AGRO 105 (World and Food Fiber Crops); ANSC 107/108 (General Animal Science); DASC 202 (Dairying); ENTO 201 (General Entomology); ENTO 208 (Veterinary Entomology); ENTO 222 (Insects and Human Society); FRSC 204* (Forest Ecology); FRSC 302 (Fundamentals of Environmental Decision-Making); FSTC 201 (Food Science); HORT 201 (General Horticulture); HORT/FSTC 311 (Principles of Food Processing); NUTR 202 (Fundamentals of Human Nutrition); POSC 201 (General Avian Sciences); RLEM 314 (Principles of Range Management).

14. Free elective courses should be designed to meet student's career objectives. These courses must be 300- or 400-level and chosen in consultation with the agribusiness advisor.
15. Any 300- or 400- level Texas A&M University Management course, except MGMT 484 or 485.
16. Choose from any Marketing course offered but not required. (elective list)
17. Choose from the list of Visual and Performing Arts Elective courses (elective list).
18. Kinesiology requirements are to be fulfilled by completing KINE 199 Health and Fitness and any other three KINE 199 courses. These courses may be taken as graded courses or S/U. Transfer students with fewer than 4 hours KINE are required to take KINE 199 Health and Fitness.
