Footnotes For All Curricula
- To be selected from any American History course, limited to 3 hours of Texas History (elective list).
- Elective courses are any courses offered for university credit and up to 12 hours may be taken on a pass/fail basis (S/U).
- Choose from the list of Natural Science courses (elective list).
- English 104 is a core curriculum requirement. Enrollment in the course is restricted to students with freshman or sophomore classification (transfer hours included). During summer conferences, students with SAT verbal scores of 550 or higher or ACT English scores of 23 or higher are required to take the English 104 Departmental Exam. - MATH 131, 151, or 171 will be accepted in lieu of MATH 142. MATH 152, 166, 172 or 304 will be accepted for MATH 141.
- To be selected from a list of courses in Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology and Women's Studies (elective list). Students majoring in Management or Marketing must take PSYC 107.
- Choose from the list of Humanities Elective
courses (elective
list).
- Any 300- or 400-level Accounting course except ACCT 315. Before enrolling in ACCT 489, students should check with an advisor in the Accounting Department.
- Any Finance course except FINC 201, 478, AND 484.

- Kinesiology requirements are to be fulfilled by completing KINE 199 Health and Fitness and any other three KINE 199 courses. These courses may be taken as graded courses or S/U. Transfer students with fewer than 4 hours KINE are required to take KINE 199 Health and Fitness.
