What extracurricular activities were you involved in at Texas A&M?

I was involved in FLEX, Delta Sigma Pi, the Triathlon team and worked part time at the Office of the Provost.

Describe your experiences as an intern.  How did the MIS program prepare you for the position?

For Bell Helicopter and Southwest Airlines I was assigned different procurement type projects focusing on documentation and analysis. At Frito-Lay I got to help with the implementation of their GES systems at various manufacturing plants.

What was your favorite MIS-related course at A&M?

I really enjoyed SCMT 345 – Business Process Design with Dr. Rangan. I loved learning about business processes and the many different ways to improve them.

What do you feel was the most beneficial course you took at A&M?

I think SCMT 468 – Enterprise Resource Planning was the most beneficial for me. Learning about how SAP works and actually using the system was relevant in every internship I had and I will be using it in my upcoming job.

What advice would you give to current MIS students at A&M?

Try to reach out to your professors as much as you can! They are interesting people with unique backgrounds who are always willing to help and give advice.
