Requirements for Graduation

Degree requirements are catalog-specific and are listed in the Undergraduate Catalog and Texas A&M University Student Rules.

GPA Requirement

To be awarded a University Studies-Business (USBU) degree, a student must:

  • Have a 2.0 GPA or better in all course work attempted at Texas A&M University.
  • Have a 2.0 GPA or better in all courses in the major field (business concentration) taken at Texas A&M University.
  • Have a grade of “C” or better in each course listed to fulfill each designated minor, unless otherwise noted by a minor department.

Enrollment of USBU majors in courses offered at Mays Business School is limited to the required business concentration courses (see list above). The following courses are available to  be taken as electives:

ACCT 210 Survey of Managerial and Cost Accounting Principles

BUSN 403 Transformational Leader Portfolio (writing designated (UWRT) course taken by most USBU students)

FINC 201 Personal Finance

MGMT 212 Business Law
