Commercial Banking Program Advisory Board
Welcome!
We’re proud to introduce our Commercial Banking Program at Mays Business School. It’s a high impact academic program in the Department of Finance and is designed to equip students with the banking and finance skills needed for a career in banking. This program prepares students to serve the personnel needs of banking organizations in the state of Texas and the United States.
Meet our current students!
How does it work?
The banking program is a partnership between Texas A&M University and member banks of the Advisory Board of Directors. Established in 2011, there are over 40 member banks involved in the governance of the program that work closely with students and faculty. Bankers are integrally involved in all aspects of the program, including admissions, classroom teaching, fundraising, mentoring, special activities, field trips and more. Due to the active involvement of member bankers, students gain a balance of academic and professional industry training to place them on the path of success in banking careers.
Benefits for the bank
- Top talent students to fill banking industry’s talent gap
- Banking executives as guest lecturers/instructors in commercial banking courses
