Assistant Director, Professional Selling Initiative


Andrew Loring is the Assistant Director of the Professional Selling Initiative and Lecturer in the Department of Marketing in Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Andrew is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.  Andrew’s professional experience at Verizon Wireless paired with his Marketing Undergraduate and Human Development/Higher Education Master’s Degree give him the ability to help individuals in these specific areas:

  1. Educating, training, and preparing college students for a career in marketing/sales and,
  2. Creating a customized approach for companies to better recruit and hire great sales talent from Mays Business School.

He is able to do this through Gallup Strengths Coaching with his students and understanding the unique hiring needs of companies.  Students who have been through coaching are better able to understand and apply their strengths to their professional and personal life which provides greater opportunities for students to find the company and role they are best suited for.  Strengths coaching paired with hands-on, experiential learning leads to greater individual emotional intelligence and success.  In addition to individuals, Andrew also coaches managers and teams which lead to greater productivity and higher engagement whether in the classroom or on the job.
