Biography

Aprajita Gautam is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Driven by the belief that marketing can be a force for good, her research primarily focuses on environmental and consumer well-being. In particular, she examines consumer decision-making processes and inferences related to product disposal behaviors such as repair and reuse.

Before transitioning to academia, Aprajita worked for seven years at Procter & Gamble, following her MBA in Marketing and Finance from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
