Biography

Boone is an Assistant Professor in the Adam C. Sinn ‘OO Department of Finance at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.  His research explores information economics, institutional constraints, anomaly returns, and short-selling.  He currently teaches in the MBA program at Mays.

Boone received his Ph.D in Finance from the University of North Carolina.  He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in economics and finance from Utah State University.  He was also a credit analyst for a community bank where he worked closely with small business owners, real estate developers, farmers, and ranchers – with whom he enjoyed discussing cattle and horses.
