Academic Advisor II
Department of Finance
Jennifer Garcia serves as Academic Advisor for undergraduate students in the Department of Finance. She previously served as Program Coordinator for the Commercial Banking Program, where she facilitated the admissions process, managed board relations, coordinated various events, and advised program students. Before joining Mays Business School in 2015, Jennifer worked in the banking industry for almost ten years as an Associate Manager. She earned her BS in Leadership Development in 2014 and MS in Educational Human Resource Development in 2017 from Texas A&M University
Jennifer also serves as the primary advisor for the Aggie Financial Women’s Association (AFWA), which empowers women to become leaders in the business world through networking, leadership, and skill development opportunities. In addition to working at Mays, Jennifer is an Academic Mentor for Texas A&M Athletics. In this role, she helps student-athletes maximize their academic potential by helping develop study plans, learning strategies, and time management skills.
In her spare time, Jennifer likes to spend time with her family and friends, watch Aggie football and baseball, play volleyball, read, and attend weekly services at Skybreak Church.
