Biography

Jihee Hwang, Ph.D., is a learning quality consultant specializing in learning analytics and continuous quality improvement for innovative teaching and learning in business and workforce education. She joined Texas A&M University in 2020 as a faculty member in the Educational Administration and Human Resource Development (EAHR), where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Resource Development and Workforce, Adult, and Lifelong Education programs. In 2026, she transitioned to the Teaching and Learning Innovation team at Mays Business School, where she supports learning quality assurance, program effectiveness, and data-informed decision-making for high-impact Flex Online learning experiences serving working professionals.
She brings more than 20 years of interdisciplinary experience as a faculty, researcher, and practitioner across adult and higher education, workforce development, and human resource development. Her work in higher education and government agencies focuses on lifelong learning and talent development, program design and evaluation, learning analytics user experience, and analytics-informed decision support for organizational effectiveness. Her scholarship includes more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, 38 conference presentations, and competitively secured grants totaling more than $550,000. She is a recipient of a Teaching Excellence Award from EAHR and a Fellow Scholar for the Study of Deeper Learning with the American Educational Research Association.
Dr. Hwang holds a BA in education and a BA in Korean language and literature, and an MA in educational psychology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. She earned her Ph.D. in higher education administration, with a minor in applied measurement, from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
