Director of Business Honors
Kris Morley is the Director of Business Honors at Mays Business School. A native of Pennsylvania, Kris grew up near Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Kris completed ROTC and joined the US Army as a Quartermaster Officer upon graduation. She served for five years in Germany, working in the areas of logistics and human resources. She attained the rank of Captain but left the service in 1984 to focus on her family. As a military spouse, she was an active community volunteer. While living in Germany, Colorado, Kansas, and Pennsylvania, she served on the boards of local Army Community Services, various Family Support Groups, Officer Wives Clubs, and USA Girl Scouts Overseas.
In 1995, Kris and her family returned to the states and settled in New Braunfels, Texas. She returned to the workforce as the Director of Volunteers for VNA and Hospice in San Antonio, a not-for-profit healthcare agency. In 2000, she and her family moved to College Station and she began her career with Texas A&M as the Assistant Director for the Business Fellows Program. In 2001 she moved to her current position with Business Honors. In 2008, Kris earned a MS degree in Education Human Resource Development from Texas A&M.
During the summer of 2014, Kris walked the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile pilgrimage route across northern Spain, an accomplishment she is very proud of. She will do it again in the summer of 2016. She has two adult children, Megan and Sean.
