Lauren E. Osborne

Assistant Director, Student Transformation Center

Biography

Lauren joined Mays Business School in 2013, working with the Center for Retailing Studies in the Marketing Department from 2013-2022. Lauren joined the Student Transformation Center (STC) as Assistant Director in 2022.

In her capacity as Assistant Director, she oversees the planning, development and implementation of transformational student experiences including but not limited to the SUMMIT Leadership Conference, Mays Career Exploration Night, Campus to Corporate, and MaysNEXT. Within the STC, Lauren has the honor of working with and advising students throughout their time at Mays to help prepare and setup them up for success in their future careers. The STC team leads several high-impact opportunities for Mays students, including Business Fellows, Business Honors, Societal Impact, and the Freshman Business Initiative.

In addition to her regular duties, Lauren serves as Advisor to the Zale Leadership Scholar program, the SUMMIT student Exec Team, and is an Instructor Mentor for BUSN 101 Peer Leaders. Lauren is also the Secondary Advisor to the Student Retailing Association after serving as the Primary Advisor from 2013-2022. Additionally, Lauren has served on the Mays Staff Council from 2019-2022, and various committees across the college such as: Women’s Leadership Initiative planning committee; Aggieland Saturday Planning Committee, CRS Director Search and Advisory Committees, Mays Strategic Planning Committee (Work Team #1), and Aggies in TECH. Currently, Lauren is one of four colleagues from Mays Business School serving on the Rapid Response Team for Texas A&M University’s Learning Environment Engagement Program. Lauren has been recognized by Mays Business School with the Star Performer Award in 2015 and 2019, and by Texas A&M University as Advisor of the Year in 2018.

Lauren’s specialties and areas of interest include student advising, career coaching and student mentoring, managing organizational change and development, program management, corporate donor relations, curating memorable experiences, fostering positive employee engagement and company culture. She is a two-time Texas A&M University graduate, having received her bachelor’s degree in 2006 and her master’s degree in Educational Human Resource Development in 2021. Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband Dave and their children, Samuel and Emersyn, and volunteering in each of their schools.
