Lemar Brown is currently an Executive Professor at Mays Business School. She teaches the Capstone Project Course to Executive MBA students. Her aim is for the MBA students to succeed in applying what they have learned by consulting on a real-life business challenge.
Prior to joining Mays, Prof. Brown worked as a Business Opportunity Manager in Shell Upstream Americas, New Business Development, negotiating the divestment of Shell’s Eagle Ford Shale to Sanchez Energy for over $600 million.
Prof. Brown started at Shell after undergraduate school and worked in Exploration & Production as an engineer for 10 years before taking a leave of absence to go to business school. She interned and worked for Goldman Sachs post-MBA. She returned to Shell, where she did Strategy & Portfolio Analysis before moving to Gas and Power as the Vice President of the Cove Point LNG regasification terminal. She then moved to Downstream as the Global Strategy Manager for Shell Sulphur Solutions and Motiva as Portfolio Project Lead, focusing on Acquisitions and Divestitures.
