Biography
Lisa Tauferner is the Assistant Director for Faculty Programs of the Center for International Business Studies at Mays Business School.
Lisa has worked over 25 years in international education ranging from advising and program coordination at Texas A&M University to working with multiple U.S. and international higher education institutions supporting clients with project implementation and consulting on best practices.
Her love of travel and foreign language studies began with her high school exchange year through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange program scholarship in Germany which offered the opportunity to be immersed in a former East Germany village residing with a host family. Subsequent travels led to Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and Asia/Pacific.
More recently, she had the opportunity to work in Malaysia for a software company where her travels led her to great food made by a chef on the island of Langkawi. Outside of work, and when she is not traveling, she spends time with her family including her husband, Guna (the aforementioned chef) and cat, Zoe, and enjoys applying her experience as a yoga and meditation instructor to support wellness goals for herself and others.
